Senate panel ups foreign aid spending by $10 billion over House levels
{mosads}While the dollar figures are now set for both chambers, neither appropriations subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations has released the language of its spending bill for the fiscal year that starts Oct. 1. Those markups are expected to lead to more partisan battles over funding for family planning, aid to Egypt and the Palestinians and other hot-button issues.
