Romney backer floated as next Israeli ambassador to US

{mosads}Dermer worked with Dan Senor, the former spokesman for the U.S. occupation forces in Iraq and a leading foreign affairs adviser to the Romney campaign, to organize the Israeli trip that was aimed at boosting Romney’s national security credentials.

Dermer left Florida for Israel in 1998. He served as Netanyahu’s liaison to the White House from 2009 until earlier this year, and has previously served in Israel’s Washington Embassy as minister for economic affairs.
