Israeli justice officials to issue update on probe into Netanyahu: report

Israeli justice officials plan to give an update regarding a probe into Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “in due time,” The Associated Press reported.

The attorney general will reportedly soon announce a criminal investigation into suspicions regarding the Israeli prime minister.

Israeli Channel 10 TV reported Netanyahu will be called for the investigation in the coming days.

{mosads}Police said Thursday, though, that reports about the probe include “speculations and disinformation.”

There have been questions raised by leading Israeli opposition lawmaker Erel Margalit of the Zionist Union Party regarding prominent donors transferring money for Netanyahu’s personal use. Margalit has been advocating for a formal investigation into Netanyahu’s activities, according to the AP.

The attorney general announced in July he was looking into issues regarding Netanyahu but did not give specifics.
