US Chamber of Commerce president meets with Raul Castro
U.S. Chamber of Commerce president Tom Donohue met Friday with Cuban president Raul Castro, according to Reuters.
The two talked about “issues of mutual interest,” the report said.
{mosads}The meeting comes ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, who has said he will roll back the rapprochement with Cuba that has been pursued by the Obama Administration.
The Chamber supports the warming of ties between the two countries and has pushed Cuba to sign deals with multiple American companies.
Maurice Greenberg, the CEO of insurance company C.V. Starr & Co Inc, also took part in the meeting.
