White House condemns Turkish prime minister’s comments on Israel, Egypt

{mosads}Erdogan made the claim in a nationally televised speech, saying the country had “evidence” that Israel was behind Morsi’s ouster. He said he has a conversation with a “French Jewish intellectual” who predicted that the Muslim Brotherhood would not be permitted, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The Turkish leader has generated controversy before, likening Zionism to facism and accusing Israelis of perpetuating “genocide” against Palestinians.
