3 injured after man drives into pedestrians in Germany

Three people were injured after a man drove into a group of people near a bakery in Heidelberg, Germany, on Saturday, according to Reuters.
 
The local police said the suspect was seen exiting the vehicle with a knife before being arrested by the authorities.
 
During the arrest, the suspect was also shot and seriously injured by the police, Reuters noted. He is now being treated in the hospital.
 
Authorities said that the investigation is ongoing and that is is too early to know if the incident had potential links to terrorism.
