Poll: Israelis distrust Obama on Iran

{mosads}The Israeli public, however, appears at odds with Netanyahu over his determination that a nuclear Iran represents an “existential threat” to Israel. More than half – 57 percent – said Israel could live with a nuclear Iran in the long-term and should formulate a security strategy with that possibility in mind.

Israelis also disapproved of Obama’s handling of the crisis in Syria following his decision to forgo a military strike and instead press Syrian President Bashar Assad to turn over his chemical weapons. Two-thirds of respondents – 66 percent – said Obama was projecting weakness in Syria.
