Cuban ambassador to US trolls Trump

The Cuban ambassador to the United States trolled President Trump on Twitter on Friday, following Trump’s announcement of his decision to roll back several of former President Barack Obama’s policies aimed at normalizing relations with the island nation.

“#Cuba Now it is official: these are the new enemies of US Foreign Policy. Watch out!!” José Ramón Cabañas tweeted Friday, along with a picture of what appears to be a family of tourists walking by a street vendor.

Trump announced new restrictions Friday that would pull back commercial and travel ties between Cuba and the U.S.

Under Obama’s policy, Americans have been permitted to visit Cuba under 12 different categories with a general license.

{mosads}While travel to the island is still prohibited, the White House says tourists have used the “people-to-people” category, which allows American travelers to visit Cuba for educational purposes individually. This will not be allowed under Trump’s new policy.

American travelers will still be able to self-certify under a general license that they are traveling to Cuba for legitimate reasons; however, they will be required to keep a full schedule and keep detailed logs of their activities on the island.

The Trump administration said the new policy will continue to allow business-to-business engagement.
