Iran blames Trump’s ‘arbitrary’ policies for instability
Iran blamed President Trump’s “arbitrary and conflicting policies” on Saturday for global instability, while rejecting the U.S. description of the nation as a rogue state.
“[Trump] ought to seek the reason for subversion and rebellion in his own arbitrary and conflicting policies and actions, as well as those of his arrogant, aggressive and occupying allies in the region,” state news agency IRNA reported foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi saying, according to Reuters.

Trump ripped Iran on Thursday during a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, saying that new threats are emerging from “rogue regimes like North Korea, Iran, and Syria, and the governments that finance and support them.”
Senior officials in Iran have blamed Saudi Arabia, a Sunni Muslim rival in the region that is a top U.S. ally, for instability and attacks in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia has denied such attacks, including one last month in Tehran that left 18 people dead.
Trump has often singled out Iran in slamming backers of militant groups, though tensions between Washington and Tehran have also arisen over other policies including his travel ban order that targeted Iran among six majority-Muslim nations.
