Suspected driver in Barcelona attack shot dead
The man suspected of running down numerous people in Barcelona’s city center was shot and killed on Monday, authorities said, putting an end to the manhunt.
Spanish officials confirmed that 22-year-old Younes Abouyaaqoub was shot in the town of Subirats.

Authorities said “everything indicates” Abouyaaqoub was the man who last week drove a van through a popular tourist area known as Las Ramblas, killing 15 people.
Abouyaaqoub was reportedly a member of a 12-person extremist cell, which authorities said was planning on carrying out additional attacks with explosives.

Five individuals rammed a car into pedestrians in the Spanish town of Cambrils just hours after the attack in Barcelona.
The attackers were shot and killed.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks last week.
