Russia warns of ‘consequences’ if US pull out of Iran deal
Russia on Tuesday warned that a U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal would spark “harmful consequences.”
Reuters reported that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said if President Trump chooses to pull out of the multination agreement, consequences would be “inevitable.”
Trump is scheduled to announce his decision on the pact at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

The 2015 deal between Iran and the U.S., Germany, France, the United Kingdom, China, Russia and the European Union offered Tehran sanctions relief in exchange for curbs to its nuclear program.
The president has long railed against the agreement, calling it “terrible” and “the worst ever.” He has argued it is too lenient on Iran.
Many foreign leaders and U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have lobbied for Trump to remain in the deal, saying there is no better option on the table.
Iran has said it will not stay in the arrangement without the United States.
