A new poll from CNN found that 1 in 3 Europeans said they knew nothing or very little of the Holocaust.

The poll conducted by ComRes and commissioned by CNN surveyed 7,092 people from seven European countries, including Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Sweden and Austria.

{mosads}One in 20 respondents said they had never heard of the Holocaust at all. Among French respondents ages 18 to 34, 1 in 5 said they had never heard of the Holocaust.

The numbers come just weeks after 11 people were killed at Jewish synagogue in Pittsburgh. The poll was commissioned more than a month before the Pittsburgh massacre.

The poll was conducted online from Sept. 7-20. More than 1,000 were surveyed from each of the seven countries.

Findings from the survey show that more than a quarter of respondents think Jewish people have too much influence in business and finance.

Additionally, respondents overwhelmingly thought Jewish people were more numerous than they actually are.

Roughly two-thirds of respondents guessed too high when asked what percentage of the world is Jewish. About 0.2 percent of the world’s population is Jewish, according to the Pew Research Center.
