Moscow mayor: Coronavirus cases three times higher than reported
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced Thursday that the real number of coronavirus cases could be three times higher than official reports.
He said that the true number of cases in Moscow is likely around 300,000 after previous reports indicated there were 92,676 in the capital and 177,160 nationwide, according to TASS, Reuters reported.
Russia has surpassed France and Germany in record daily case numbers, becoming the fifth most affected country in the world by the deadly respiratory virus, according to Johns Hopkins University.
