Putin plays hockey at Red Square on Christmas
Russian President Vladimir Putin played hockey at the Red Square on Christmas, according to videos posted on social media.
Putin, 67, played alongside the country’s defense minister, Sergey Shoigu, and against Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, according to Bloomberg reporter Scott Rose.

Putin’s team includes Defense Minister Shoigu plus Russian hockey stars of years past: Pavel Bure, Valeri Kamensky, Sergei Fedorov & Alexei Kasatonov.

Putin made headlines earlier this year after he fell while waving to fans during an exhibition game. He also scored eight goals in that game.
According to The Independent, the Russian leader regularly plays hockey the week before Orthodox Christmas, which falls in January.
