A pair of former top U.S. diplomats are joining the advisory firm led by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

Wendy Sherman, the former under secretary of State for political affairs and the lead U.S. negotiator on the nuclear deal with Iran, is taking a position as a senior counselor with Albright Stonebridge Group, the firm announced on Tuesday.

{mosads}Daniel Feldman, who served as special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, is coming aboard as a senior advisor. Feldman is also a partner at the law firm of Akin Gump.

Sherman was a vice chair at the consulting firm before entering the State Department.

In a statement, Albright called Sherman “one of the most well-respected and sought-after foreign policy and international business experts I know.”

Sherman left office last year after finalizing the multinational talks that led to the U.S. and other world powers lifting sanctions against Iran this month. In exchange for the lifting of sanctions, Iran took a series of steps to prevent it from building a nuclear weapon.

President Obama nominated Thomas Shannon to fill her position, the No. 4 post at the State Department, but he has yet to be confirmed by the Senate.
