Trump: North Korea ‘acting very, very badly’
President Trump slammed North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un on Sunday for “acting very, very badly” following that country’s recent missile activity.
North Korea claimed it tested a new high-thrust rocket engine Saturday, the latest in a string of missile tests over the past few months.
{mosads}”He’s acting very, very badly,” the president said of Kim Jong-un, according to a White House pool report.
Trump, who traveled to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., this weekend, said he discussed North Korea’s missile launches during weekend meetings.
Kim Jong-un told a North Korean-controlled news agency, which first reported the rocket tests, that the “whole world will soon witness what eventful significance the great victory won today carries.”
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson denounced North Korea’s missile launches earlier this week, indicating that the Trump administration is open to taking pre-emptive action if North Korea continues to “elevate the threat of their weapons program.”
