Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats will testify Thursday before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Coats will testify in a closed hearing before the panel, according to a reporter from NBC News.
During a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing last week, Coats repeatedly refused to answer lawmakers’ questions about his conversations with President Trump in an open setting, though he said he never felt pressured by the president.
Coats said he would be willing to discuss such matters in a closed setting.
{mosads}His testimony comes after a report Wednesday that said the special counsel appointed to investigate the Russian election meddling is now looking into whether Trump sought to obstruct justice.
Special counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly requested interviews with current and former intelligence officials, including Coats.
