Facebook, Tata join anti-spam coalition

Tata Communications is part of India’s $70 billion Tata Group and is one of the largest telecom providers on the subcontinent. Both Tata and Facebook will play an active role in helping the MAAWG craft policies that target spammers and other abusers online.

“Our deep commitment to site security requires the development of robust technologies and active engagement with organizations like MAAWG. We look forward to collaborating with the entire working group to aggressively fight messaging abuse,” said Facebook chief security officer Joe Sullivan.
