Blogger lists homes of Pelosi, Reid in Tea Party guide to D.C.
A conservative blogger posted an online guide to Washington, D.C., for those traveling to the city for Saturday’s “Restoring Honor” rally, which will feature Fox News’s Glenn Beck and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as speakers.
The blogger Bruce Majors wrote the guide, posted Sunday on the site of the Maine Refounders, a Tea Party group, with the stated aim of helping visitors travel around Washington — including, if they wish, to the homes of several prominent Democrats.
{mosads}In a section titled “Bad,” Majors lists what he says are the addresses for the homes of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.); Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.); former White House communications director Anita Dunn and her husband White House counsel Bob Bauer; and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (S.D.).
“Feel free to protest!” Majors added.
He posted other unconventional advice as well, under a section titled “Safety and Mores.”
Do not use Metro’s Green or Yellow line, he wrote, and “stay in NW DC and points in Virginia.”
He also offered a quick guide to D.C.’s population, which “includes refugees from every country, as the families of embassy staffs of third world countries tend to stay in DC whenever a revolution in their homeland means that anyone in their family would be in danger if they went back.”
“As a rule,” he went on, “African immigrants do not like for you to assume they are African Americans and especially do not like for you to guess they are from a neighboring country (e.g. Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia) with whom they may have political or military tensions,” Majors says.
“It’s rare to meet anyone who gets really offended, but you can still be aware of the issue,” he adds.
Majors also posted advice for eating on the cheap.
