Schmidt: Google gets ‘right up to the creepy line’
Schmidt looked amused in response to an offbeat question about whether Google plans to implant technology in people’s brains as the next step after making strides on the mobile Internet.
“I would argue that implanting something in your brain is beyond the creepy line,” he quipped, “at least for the moment, until the technology gets better.”
He added, again in a lighthearted way, that Google is such a bottom-up company that he would not be aware if such a technology were in development.
“As far as I know, we do not have a medical lab working on implants,” he said. “As far as I know. I will check after this.”
