Apple unveils software updates for ‘post PC world’

The new cloud-based version of iTunes will scan users’ music libraries for songs not purchased from iTunes using a program called iMatch. If the iTunes store has a copy of that music, it will be available to users in the cloud along with all of their purchased music.
In addition, the latest version of the firm’s operating system, Lion, will be available in July for $29 exclusively through the Mac App Store. A new version of the mobile operating system for iPhones and iPads, iOS, will be available to consumers this fall.
