News bites: Sony announces PlayStation 4

More companies are beginning to admit when they have been attacked by hackers, according to The New York Times.

Google said it will give contest winners the chance to buy a pair of its Internet-connected glasses, dubbed “Google Glass,” for $1,500, the Associated Press writes.

{mosads}Dish Network reported a 33 percent drop in quarterly profit, highlighting why the company is trying to expand into wireless broadband, The Wall Street Journal explains.

Sources told AllThingsD that social scrapbooking site Pinterest completed a $200 million round of fundraising, which values the company at $2.5 billion.
