Amazon: 2016 biggest holiday shopping season yet
The 2016 holiday season was Amazon’s best yet, the company said Tuesday, according to Reuters.
The company said it shipped over 1 billion items throughout the world via Prime membership accounts.
And more than 72 percent of Amazon customers conducted their shopping using mobile devices.
{mosads}Amazon’s new smart speaker, Amazon Echo, and the smaller Echo Dot were the website’s best sellers.
“Despite our best efforts and ramped-up production, we still had trouble keeping them in stock,” said chief executive of Amazon’s Worldwide Consumer division Jeff Wilke.
Disney Pixar’s “Finding Dory” and a 72-pack of Keurig K-Cups were also among the best sellers.
