FTC issues guidance to avoid getting hacked

{mosads}The FTC encourages users to have unique passwords for important sites like banking and email and to use two-step authentication when it is available. Users should avoid clicking on links or attachments from unknown users, the agency said.

If an account has been hacked, the FTC recommends that users update their security software, change their passwords and contact the email or social media provider to restore the account.
