Report: Zuckerberg, Sandberg unlikely to testify to Congress in Russia probe
Facebook is unlikely to send either CEO Mark Zuckerberg or COO Sheryl Sandberg to testify before Congress as part of investigations into Russia’s alleged attempt to influence the 2016 presidential election, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
The company confirmed to The Hill on Wednesday that it would be sending a representative to the House and Senate Intelligence committee hearings on Nov. 1.
According to Bloomberg, Facebook hasn’t decided who will testify.

Twitter has also confirmed that it will testify before lawmakers, while Google has not revealed whether to accept the invitation from lawmakers.
This week, Facebook handed over 3,000 political ads that it says were purchased by Russian actors with fake accounts in an effort sow division in the U.S. The company revealed last month that the ads had been purchased for $100,000 from now-defunct accounts.
Facebook says roughly 10 million users saw the ads.
