Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is urging Google, Facebook and Twitter to testify next week before the Senate Judiciary subcommittee he chairs in a hearing on Russian online disinformation campaigns.
Graham told Politico that “Google’s all good” to appear in the Oct. 31 hearing and that he’s “working with the others” on getting them to send representatives.
The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism hearing comes a day before the three companies will be sending their general counsels to testify before the House and Senate intelligence panels on Russia’s alleged political ad purchases on their sites.

Graham told Politico that his hearing will also focus on how platforms can work to stop “radicalization on the internet” that helps terror groups’ recruitment efforts.
“How do we deal with it? Do we need walls, or can you do it internally?” the South Carolina Republican said. “When it comes to Facebook advertising and social media advertising, it’s the Wild Wild West.”
He also plans to address a new bipartisan bill called the Honest Ads Act that’s aimed at increasing transparency for online political ads.
