Twitter rolling out ‘tweetstorms’ as feature
Twitter announced Tuesday that it is rolling out a new feature on its platforms allowing users to more easily post several messages at a time, also known as “tweetstorms.”
The move follows a November test of the feature, which lets users to compose and edit several tweets at a time before posting them sequentially in a thread. The new feature will be available on both iPhone and Android versions of the Twitter app.

Another feature added with the update is a “show all” button for tweets in a thread, making them easier to read.
The social media giant reported 330 million active users in the third quarter of 2017, and the company has recently made a number of updates to its features and the company’s content policy.
Last month, Twitter increased the longstanding 140-character limit on messages to 280 characters.
In October, the company announced a timeline for specific updates to the platform meant to curb abuse, including banning “hateful imagery,” “hate avatars” and “hateful display names.”
The company also announced that month that it would take steps to ban ads from Russian-funded news outlets after RT and Sputnik were identified by U.S. intelligence agencies as part of the Russian government’s effort to interfere in U.S. elections.
“This decision was based on the retrospective work we’ve been doing around the 2016 U.S. election and the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that both RT and Sputnik attempted to interfere with the election on behalf of the Russian government,” Twitter said at the time.
“We did not come to this decision lightly, and are taking this step now as part of our ongoing commitment to help protect the integrity of the user experience on Twitter.”
