More airports cleared for Cuba flights

Obama has been criticized for allowing travel to the island by Cuban-American lawmakers like Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.).

Rubio and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) tried to derail the travel expansion by adding an amendment to the appropriations bill for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that would prevent direct flights to “state sponsors of terrorism,” but the measure was not heard.
