{mosads}The sector with the highest number of gains in transportation employment in July, according to BLS, was “support activities for transportation,” which increased by 4,100 jobs. There were 590,300 jobs in July, compared to 586,200 in June.
The highest number of losses in transportation employment came in the transit and ground passenger transportation, which went from 466,600 jobs in June to 458,000 jobs in July.
The labor statistics bureau found the aviation industry lost 1,200 jobs, going from 445,300 in June to 444,100 last month. Rail employment increased by 300 jobs, with the industry containing 230,800 jobs in June, compared to 231,100 in June.
