Voters worried $5 per gallon gas is coming

The national average for a gallon of regular gas Tuesday was $3.97, according to the AAA auto club. The death of Osama bin Laden brought some speculation that gas prices might decline, but most analysts have said continued instability in the Middle East will likely keep prices high.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said Tuesday that the House would bring forth bills to increase domestic oil drilling now that lawmakers are back from recess.
