DOT chief won’t tweet during government shutdown
{mosads}Lawmakers failed to reach to an agreement to continue funding the government before a midnight deadline Tuesday.
Foxx took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce he was shutting down his online account in response.
“I will not be tweeting or responding to @ replies during a government shutdown,” Foxx tweeted.
The DOT has said that it will have to furlough 18,000 workers during the government shutdown. The agency has said that air traffic controllers will not be included in the furloughs, so air travel will still be safe.
