Family of slain TSA agent establishes memorial fund

The family of a Transportation Security Administration agent who was killed last week has started a memorial fund in his honor.

{mosads}TSA officials said the family of 39-year-old Gerardo Hernandez was launching the fund to honor their slain relative, who became the agency’s first worker to be killed in the line of duty last week.

Hernandez was killed in a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport, during which a gunman carrying a rifle appeared to target TSA workers.

Two other TSA agents were injured in the shooting, which has prompted calls from the agency’s union to arm airport security workers.
