Reports: Passenger tries to open plane door mid-flight

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday the passenger was subdued after he tried to open the emergency exit while the plane was 30,000 feet in the air.

Passengers told the paper the man was prevented from opening the door by other travelers.

“It seemed that he retreated, and the passengers backed off,” passenger Katie Hindman told the newspaper. “But he made a second run for it, and a big group of guys tackled him.”
