Missouri weighs Boeing tax incentives
State lawmakers in Missouri are considering a $1.7 billion package of tax incentives that are intended to woo airplane manufacturer Boeing to build airplanes in their state, The Associated Press reports.
{mosads}The tax incentives are an effort to convince Boeing to build its 777X airplanes in Missouri, according to the report.
The package was approved by a Missouri state Senate committee on Thursday.
The effort follows the rejection of a similar deal in Washington state by a union for Boeing mechanics.
