Airlines cancel 2,865 flights amid southeast snow
Airlines have canceled 2,865 flights as the southeast United States is hit with another snow storm, according to the website FlightAware.com.
Most of the cancellations were in Atlanta and Charlotte, with the airports having 822 and 366 canceled flights on Wednesday respectively.
{mosads}Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson and Charlotte’s Douglas international airports also had 797 and 373 inbound flights canceled, according to the website.
FlightAware reported that another 2,623 flights that were scheduled for Wednesday were delayed.
The snow storm is expected to move up the East Coast to Washington and other northeast cities on Thursday.
