Relatives upset with Malaysia Airlines

Relatives of people who were traveling on a Malaysia Airlines flight that disappeared from air traffic control radars over the weekend are turning their anger on the airline.

Family members are upset with Malaysia Airlines for, what they say, has been a lack of information about their missing family members, The Associated Press reports.  





Family members of people who are known to have been onboard the plane have been gathered at the Beijing airport seeking information.

{mosads}“We don’t believe Malaysia Airlines anymore,” a relative told the AP. “Sorry everyone; we just don’t believe them anymore.”

A Boeing 777 airplane that was flying from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China, has been missing since Friday night. The plane, which was carrying 239 passengers, was last seen by air traffic controllers about an hour into its flight, and no wreckage has been found yet.



The airline has said its “primary focus at this point in time is to care for the families of the passengers and crew of MH370.” 



“This means providing them with timely information, travel facilities, accommodation, meals, medical and emotional support,” Malaysia Air said in a statement. “The costs for these are all borne by Malaysia Airlines.
”


The company said it could not comment on reports that have emerged about passengers being on the missing flight using stolen passports, which has given rise to fears about the disappearance of the flight could be terrorism-related.



“We are receiving many queries about how the passengers with the stolen passports purchased their tickets,” the airline said. “We are unable to comment on this matter as this is a security issue. We can however confirm that we have given all the flight details to the authorities for further investigation.”
