Power outage leaves DC Metro riders in the dark
A power outage at a key transfer station on the Washington Metrorail system left hundreds of commuters in the dark on Friday.
Passengers tweeted pictures of crowded platforms at Metro’s L’Enfant Plaza station that were in the dark, complaining about the frequency of problems with the capital area’s transit system.
Friday was the coldest day of the year so far in Washington, and Metro struggled with cracked rails for much of the morning rush hour.
