Senate panel to consider motor carrier safety nominee
The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee is scheduled to hold a confirmation hearing on President Obama’s pick to lead the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration next Wednesday.
The panel will question Scott Darling, who has been serving as its acting chief since the summer of 2014.
{mosads}Prior to assuming the helm of the FMCSA, Darling served as the agency’s chief counsel for Administrator Anne Ferro.
Darling joined the FMCSA in September 2012, coming to the agency from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
