News bites: Less popular than the post office

Airlines are more popular than cable companies, but less popular than the post office, according to a recent survey.

{mosads}Airplane manufacturer Boeing is reportedly reimbursing a Polish airline for the grounding of its 787 “Dreamliner” airplane.

A recent increase in train and bus ridership is being partially attributed to passengers’ ability to use electronic devices on board, unlike airlines — for now.

Speaking of electronic devices, American Airlines is getting close to allowing its pilots to ditch paper flight records in favor of iPads.
