‘Dreamliner’ forced to land after indicator light comes on

The incident this week is the latest in a series of problems that have plagued the 787 since it was first introduced.

The January Japan Airlines 787 fire resulted in the Dreamliner being grounded for three months by the Federal Aviation Administration and other international aviation agencies.

Additionally, a Dreamliner being operated by Ethiopian Airlines caught on fire at London’s Heathrow International Airport last week.

No passengers were on board the 787 that was involved in the London incident.

The Dreamliner was cleared to return to service in April after the FAA approved a fix for its lithium-ion battery.
