Signal problems cause systemwide delays on DC Metro
Issues with Washington Metro’s signals and rail control system are causing systemwide delays on the transit system Thursday morning.
The problems are expected to be fixed within the hour, according to Metro officials. The cause of the issue is under investigation.
{mosads}Metro spokesman Dan Stessel told the Washington Post that crews are manually operating the switches so that trains could pass through the areas, but that process takes longer, which is creating major delays on all six lines.
All Lines: Delays up to 20 minutes system-wide due to signal problem. Please allow additional travel time.
