{mosads}One source told The Detroit News that the investments in Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant, Flat Rock Assembly Plant and Romeo Engine Plant will be “significant.”
The newspaper added that the total dollar amount is unclear, as is how many jobs will be created.
The newspaper noted that a 2015 contract between Ford and the United Auto Workers included a $700 million investment at the Michigan Assembly Plant, a $400 million investment for Flat Rock and a $150 million investment at the Romeo Engine plant.
Ford later announced that it will invest $850 million in the Michigan Assembly Plant, $150 million in the Romeo Engine Plant and $200 million in a data center, CNBC reported, adding that 130 jobs would be created or retained at the Romeo facility.
