DC area car dealership offers furloughed employees free auto service
{mosads}The dealership said it felt compelled to act because it is “one of the closest car dealers to Washington, D.C., and realizes the importance of the livelihood of the local government workforce.”
The government has been shut down since Tuesday because lawmakers could not reach an agreement on a continuation of federal funding by Oct. 1, which was scheduled to be the beginning of the federal 2014 fiscal year. The dealership said it wanted to “give back to all those hard working government employees that have been negatively affected by the recent shutdown.”
