About 600 hundred U.S. flights have been canceled as of Sunday afternoon because of a winter storm hitting the midwest, according to the Associated Press.

Snow and winds over the weekend resulted in blizzard conditions in a number of midwest states, including Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri.
The AP reported that snow is expected to next hit areas of Illinois near Chicago as well as the Great Lakes region.
Additionally, 4 to 6 inches of snow are expected to fall Sunday in the Kansas City area, according to the AP. Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer (R) issued a state of emergency because of the storm.
