Average price of gas rises 5 cents in last two weeks
The average price of regular-grade gasoline has gone up by 5 cents in just the past two weeks, according to an analysis by The Associated Press.
The current average gas price of $3.21 per gallon is 97 cents higher than at the same time in 2020, with the San Francisco Bay Area having the highest average price for gas at $4.39 per gallon. Baton Rouge, La., reports the lowest average price at $2.65 per gallon, the AP reported.
Triby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey told the newswire that gas prices will likely hold steady due to the stoppage of rising crude oil costs.
According to the Lundberg Survey, the average diesel gallon is $3.30, which is up 3 cents from the past two weeks, the AP reported.
