Ford is recalling almost 250,000 heavy-duty pickup trucks over possible drive shaft fractures.

The drive shafts are getting fractured by heat and noise insulators which could lead to loss of vehicle control, Ford said in documents to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, The Associated Press reported.

The owners of  F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickup trucks from the 2017 to 2022 will be notified by letter of the malfunction beginning April 4.

The insulators will have to be properly installed and the drive shafts inspected by dealers to fix the issue, according to the AP.

The announcement comes after Ford said Wednesday it was recalling more than 330,000 Mustangs over problems with the rear cameras.
