Bella Dinh-Zarr, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), said it’s too soon to tell why the train was speeding, according to the AP. The cause of the derailment has yet to be determined, she said.
Three individuals are confirmed dead in the crash, according to the AP, while 10 sustained injuries described as serious.
Dinh-Zarr during a press conference Monday said the NTSB has deployed a “go team” to investigate the incident.
