Feds to release 340 hours of secret Nixon tapes
{mosads}To date, the National Archives has released more than 2,600 hours of conversations. The soon-to-be-released recordings were captured between April 9 and July 12, six days before the recorders were turned off.
The recordings, however, will be slightly redacted. Of 342 hours and 13 minutes of tape reviewed, 338 hours and 47 minutes will be made public.
Also to be released are 31 cubic feet of previously classified texts and materials from the Nixon administration’s National Security Council and Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and 72.5 cubic feet worth of additional files.
