Justice wants mining rule set aside
The Justice Department is calling on a federal court to vacate a regulation governing the disposal of coal mining waste, making moot claims from environmentalists that the government violated the law in by supporting the rule, according to Inside EPA.
The agency argues that the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia should set aside the 2008 Interior Department regulation, according to the report, published by Salon.
