Wednesday’s meeting announcements: Spiny dogfish takes center stage

{mosads}An Internal Revenue Service advisory committee on tax exempt and government entities is meeting in Washington on Sept. 12. 

On Sept. 12, a federal advisory committee on maternal, infant and early childhood home visiting programs is meeting via webinar. 

Also on Sept. 12, officials from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will convene a conference to discuss a filing from a natural gas transportation and storage company. 

The Fish and Wildlife Service’s council on sport fishing and boating will hold a teleconference on the afternoon of Sept. 13. 

The Pentagon’s commission for the structure of the Air Force is meeting on Sept. 14 in Chesterfield, Mich., to hear testimony and tour a National Guard base. 

The Energy Department’s environmental management board for Nevada is meeting in Las Vegas on Sept. 18. 

On Sept.18 and 19, a committee on the international classification of diseases is meeting in Baltimore. 

Also on Sept. 18 and 19, the Bureau of Land Management’s advisory council for Central Montana is meeting in Lewistown, Mont.

Staff from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will meet with the National Marine Fisheries Service and the South Carolina Public Service Authority on Sept. 19 to discuss the best ways to protect two sturgeon species as part of a hydroelectric project’s relicensing. 

On Sept. 23, a Forest Service resource advisory committee is meeting in Forest, Miss. 

The Transportation Department, along with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, will hold a meeting on Sept. 26 in Alpharette, Ga., to discuss possible transit alternatives in the region. 

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention panel on methods of radiation dose reconstruction is holding a conference call on Sept. 30 to discuss quality management and assurance activities. 

The criminal procedure advisory committee of the Judicial Conference of the U.S., which develops policies for U.S. courts, is meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Oct. 18.
